How do you find now? By letting go of the past and giving up your ideas of the future.
How do you do that? You just let go of controlling your thoughts and emotions.
How do you do that? You sit still in a comfortable position and you become the watcher and feeler of your thoughts and emotions. You give up controlling your feelings and thoughts and you let them run wild until they have no more energy, they begin to slow down and moments of peace, acceptance and stillness appear. “Hey you are meditating!”

While you meditate you might see your mind as a beautiful blue sky and your thoughts are the clouds that travel across the sky blocking the light. There are times when the clouds turn grey and fill with rain, hail, lightening and strong winds making the world dark and forlorn. But behind all that noise and movement sits the beautiful blue sky and glowing yellow sun. So depending on what you focus on will depend on what you experience in that moment. “Hey your meditating again”.the pass

Meditating is easy if we understand that we have complete freedom to create our day by deciding on what to focus on in every moment. We do this anyway unconsciously in every moment. Dangers of a Damp, Raw Food Diet

I often tell clients to stay off cold, damp, raw, sweet food. Which covers such foods as dairy, milk, cheese, yoghurt, ice cream, sugar, soft drinks, raw ffood, fruit and raw vegetables.

The dairy and sugar a client can accept, but they look at me as if I’m crazy when I mention raw fruit and vegetables. Especially when every other naturapath, chiropractor etc. tell them to eat more raw fruit and vegetables. However I then pose some questions – What does cold do? ( It constricts and slows down, causes stuckness ).

Have you ever been able to buy raw fruit salads or raw vegetable salads in a Chinese Restaurant? – No! Why not? Because the Chinese have learnt over thousands of years the dangers of eating too much raw food especially cold, sweet food. They have learnt to treat their food as medicine by using a balanced diet of cooked foods.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine the stomach is called the cooking pot. It cooks the food so it is more easily absorbed. The funny thing is it isn’t too far from what actually happens in the stomach. When food goes into the stomach it has already been broken apart by chewing (very important to chew well) this mixes the food with the enzymes in your saliva. The food hits the stomach ready for processing. The stomach secretes Hydrochloric acid which produces heat (calories) and releases the calories (heat), minerals, vitamins, proteins etc. The food is being cooked by acid. The chemical reactions are breaking the food up in to molecules that can be absorbed by the intestines.

The spleen/pancreas produces enzymes to further help the process. Now imagine what happens to stomach acid that is constantly being neutralised by cold, raw, alkalised fruit and vegetables. Acid is neutralised by an alkaline solution. So now the stomach has to produce more acid to get the balance right. If this continues to happen over many meals and many months, even years, then eventually the acid glands become exhausted and the food begins to move into the digestive tract only partially broken down, partially digested.

“Impairment of digestive processes can result in an imbalance of gut microflora. The inflammatory reactions triggered by these organisms and the physical and chemical damage they inflict on the (usually semipermeable) gut mucosa produces the condition of increased permeability known as’Leaky Gut Syndrome’. This ‘Gut Dysbiosis or leaky gut syndrome” may produce enterotoxins, the toxic waste of living bacteria or endotoxins, the cell wall fragments of dead bacteria”.

“Letting Go” Seminar

“Letting Go” of the internal Saboteur

This isn’t the part 3  of my Letting Go blogs, that is still to come. Shauna and I are giving a seminar on the Letting process on Saturday 19th July. So we wanted to send out the information for everyone to register.  Below is an article I wrote for our necanyon_man_1[1]wsletter at Xtrahealth Clinic.

I am often asked “how do I change and break the negative patterns that make me sick or tied or fat or lazy or anxious. What can I do to heal my body and bring peace to my mind?”

My answer is simple ‘Let go’ your stress, let go your worries, let go your negative emotions. I know this sounds too easy and we all know how hard it can be to face up to our internal fears and negative stresses.

Research has shown that we pick up 50% of our basic habits and attitudes by the age of 4; we pick up another 30% by the age of 8 and 10% more by the age of 14 years old. By 14 we have 90% of our basic habits and belief systems in place. We then spend the rest of our lives trying to figure them out and change them.

Do you know that the word ‘personality’ comes from the Greek word ‘persona’? In the ancient Greek theatre the actors used the happy and sad masks to portray what emotion they would be acting in. So if you have a great personality you have a great mask. We all have masks built up from early childhood and research is now showing that even our time in the womb and birthing experiences are the first energy blueprints laid down in our bodyminds.
