It is the science of analysing the structure, texture and colour of many hundreds of thousands of nerve fibres, microscopic blood vessels, muscles and other tissue which make up the Irises of the eyes.
"Signs” in the Iris give the Iridologist indications of Pathological, Structural and Functional disturbances in the Gastro-Intestinal System, the Musculo-skeletal System, the Circulatory System, the Nervous System, the Endocrine System and the Skin System.“Signs” in the iris can show Inflammation, Irritation and Congestion and the degree of Vitality and the degree of healing Power or healing Ability of the Body.
 How does it work.
The Irises are an extension of the Brain and are the most complex tissue of the body in contact with the outside world. The Iris of the eyes are connected to all organs and body tissue by way of several nerves including the Optic Nerve and the Central Nervous System.These nerves receive electrical and chemical impulses from all body processes. All the visable parts of the eye undergo specific physiological changes corresponding to pathological changes in Body Organs and Tissue.
In this way Nature has provided us with a miniature television screen showing all parts of the body by way of Nerve relfex responses - The Neuro Optic Effect
 Western Medicine sees “No Symptoms = No Disease”, however it can be seen that we are handed down inhererent strengths and weaknesses by our forefathers.
These inherent strengths and weaknesses help to make us the individual person we are. We call this our “Constitution”. Iridology, or Iris Analysis is a useful preventative tool for its ability to be able to read and define the body's Constitution.
Knowing the Constitution can increase an individuals quality of life and can assist in determining “Familiar” or “Hereditary” pathology or disease states before the onset or manifestation of symptoms.
This is TRUE preventative medicine.

What is a Constitution?
Our constitutions are made up from two factors - our Genotype and our Phenotype. Genotype is that part of our Constitution passed down genetically, it's our ‘gene pool'. Phenotype is the Constitution that we develop in our lives according to our Environment and Lifestyle habits - nutrition availability, social habitis, activity. Its the way we live our life.
Together these two types join together and make us the unique individual that we are, with unique strengths and unique weaknesses. However we manage to get our constitution, whether by Genotypic or Phenotypic means, its what we do with what we have that matters most.
Iridology provides us with a non- invasive method of determining Constitutional strengths and weakensses and by doing so can assist in making better lifestyle choices and healthy decisions about our future.
Presently, as in the past, many primary health care providers have used this form of analysis along with other diagnostic techniques to facilitate a more complete understanding of their patients' health care needs.
The iris represents a communication system capable of handling an amazing quantity of information. Iridology reveals inflammation, where it is located and at what stage it is manifesting. It reveals body constitution, inherent weaknesses, levels of health and the transitions that take place in the person's body according to the way he lives.
 To enhance iridology diagnostic procedures, we take pictures of the eyes with a special designed Iris Camera..
A Nikon Digital Coolpix Camera: takes images up to 4 Megapixels, with a special lens and a seperate twin light source.
After taking the photos they are downloaded on to the computor and run through a Iris Scan program. The photos are then printed on glossy photo paper and a report is written.

1st Appointment (45 min) includes taking photos and the taking of an indepth case history.
2nd appointment (45min) includes written Report. 2 sets of photos and explanation of treatment procedures.
Extras will be Herbal Medicine, Vits/Mineral Supplements, Acupuncture and Urine testing.
